Pastoral Letter 20th June 2020
Ever Changing Situation
Dear Friends,
You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as we adapt to the ever changing situation that we are in. With further relaxation of the lockdown rules some of you will now find that you have become part of a bubble! A new experience for many, but a welcome change, I hope. Gradually, we are allowed to venture out more and children can look forward to returning to school in September.
Church life continues with many opportunities to join in a virtual way. There is a new season of drop in chats, webinars and discussion groups aimed at helping churches with environmental issues and caring for God’s creation. ‘Embedding God in Our Worship’, is the theme of the next set of online sessions, with the first taking place on Tuesday, June 23rd 2pm. More details are available at www.leeds.anglican.org The Environmental Officer for St Aidan’s has sadly had to step-down, so if this is an area of church life that interests you, here is an opportunity that you may wish to consider.
Church services for the next week are:
Sunday 21st June, 10.00 Zoom
Tuesday 23rd June, 9.15 Zoom
If you would like any help with Zoom please let me know. Several people are joining by phone so if you do not have the internet this is another option. Dial 0203 481 5237 (local call rates). When prompted using your phone handset enter the Meeting ID: 821 820 7370# Listen to the next instruction and simply press the hashtag. You will be put on hold by the host and then admitted to the service. You will now be able to be part of the service using your phone.
